By Air British Arirways offers flights
from Glasgow, Inverness and Edinburgh to Stornoway.
Flying time is anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour.
Air services are available on Sundays.
By Car There are two ferry routes to the
Isle of Lewis operated by Caledoniam MacBrayne from Ullapool
to Stornoway and from Uig on the Isle of Lewis to
Tarbert. The ferries do not operate on
Sundays.
Directions from Stornoway take the A859 towards
Tarbert. After 10 miles at Liurbost turn right on to the
A858 to Gearraidh Na H-Aibhne. Take a left on to the B8011
to Timsgearraidh. At Timsgearraidh continue on the road to
Eadha Da Fhadhail, this is the Gaelic name for Ardroil.
Eadha Da Fhadhail is a very small village and not far past
the sign for the village you will see No 7 on the right
hand side of the road. The journey should take
approximately 1 hour
Directions from Tarbert take the A859 north
towards Stornoway. At Liurbost turn left on to the A858 to
Gearraidh Na H-Aibhne. Take a left turn on to the B8011 to
Timsgearraidh. At Timsgearraidh continue on the road to
Eadha Da Fhadhail, this is the Gaelic name for Ardroil.
Eadha Da Fhadhail is a very small village and not far past
the sign for the village you will see No 7 on the right
hand side of the road. The journey should take
approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
